Testimonials

Taste good, chews good and I honestly haven’t gone a day without it since I got it. So much better then the toxic, artificial gum.

Frequently asked questions

How long does mastic gum last?

Since mastic gum doesn't lose its structural integrity, it can be re-chewed two to three times. It's also antimicrobial, so if stored hygienically, will stay fresh for up to three days after first being chewed.

Stored correctly – that’s in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight – our gum can stay perfectly preserved for years.

How do I use it?

Bite down and start chewing. Because mastic is an organic product, the size, shape and hardness of each piece will vary.

If the initial piece is too soft and sticks to your teeth, take a sip of water to help it solidify. Then, start chewing a harder piece to combine the two and achieve the perfect consistency.

How long does it take for mastic gum to work?

Depending on the results you’re seeking, mastic gum will take different time frames to start seeing or feeling a difference

• Dental benefits can be seen after 1 week of regular use.

• Anti-ulcer and anti-gastritis benefits are the highest at 4 weeks of consumption.

• Its effects against inflammatory bowel disease are the highest at about 4 weeks.

What are the risks and side effects?

Studies of mastic gum have not noted any significant or dangerous side effects. Some users have reported constipation, diarrhoea, nausea, headaches, and dizziness; however, mastic gum is generally well tolerated. If in doubt, start with a small amount so you can see if you have any adverse reaction.

The FDA has classified mastic gum as GRAS (generally recognised as safe).

Children, pregnant women, and those who are breastfeeding may wish to avoid it.

What does it taste like?

Mastic gum has a slightly bitter taste at first, followed by a refreshing release of pine and cedar-like flavour. Combined with its aromatic nature, you're guaranteed pleasurable chewing and perfectly fresh breath.

Is it okay to swallow?

Mastic gum consumption is safe, although the long-term safety has not been sufficiently investigated, and the maximum safe dose remains still unknown. It is recommended that if a piece looks too large, you should cut it into smaller pieces to avoid any risk of choking.
